Open Awareness: Holding The Space for Transformation in Coaching, Therapy and Life!
“Holding The Space” is a metaphorical container for the transformative interaction between a practitioner and client. It is also a practical way in which to dis-identify from the stressful, fearful and harmful content of the mind.
In this presentation, Jevon will propose a unique mode of perception ideally suited to Holding The Space, called “Open Awareness”. Noticeable aspects of Open Awareness include: mindfulness, receptivity, empathy, compassion, interconnectedness, transpersonal perspective, resourcefulness and calmness.
The simple Open Awareness skills described in this presentation may help to counteract the negative consequences of chronic tunnel awareness – induced by excessive use of mobile devices – the digital zombie generation.
Open Awareness is easy to learn and apply, yet profound enough to expand and evolve consciousness through regular practice. In this presentation Jevon Dangeli will demonstrate an Open Awareness practice for lay people, and outline how this transpersonal approach can be applied in coaching and therapy as a constructive means of holding a transformative space for the client’s process.
